How It Works

Archerfish thinks, constantly analyzing video based on what you tell it to look for and what to ignore. In this behind-the-scenes look, you can see how Archerfish analyzes a scene to alert only on people. Since it’s a rainy, windy day Archerfish has a lot to think about. In the right-hand screen, it sees but intentionally ignores the moving bushes, blowing branches and reflection in puddles that a motion detection system would alert on. With Archerfish, you are only alerted to the man walking in from the left. Watch the yellow box appear in the left-hand screen as Archerfish makes it decision that this new object is actually a person. Archerfish filters out hundreds of objects every minute, so you get notified only when something important happens.
